Back to work – finally! With the 4th of July being on Wednesday, we had a hard time deciding which weekend to use for the long weekend. It was too hard a decision to make so we wound up taking both weekends off! Now there’s plenty of work to do not only to catch up but also to prepare for being absent again this weekend to take care of some personal business.
It was really nice being back at work today. My day started out with two commercial inspections so the day was very profitable before noon. The commercial inspections were followed by twenty-eight occupancy inspections and one insurance loss inspection. This was the final insurance loss inspection for this property and even though I am very happy for the family, I will miss visiting the property. It is right on Mobile Bay and I have been inspecting the progress of rebuilding since hurricane Katrina – two years ago. The owners and I used to sit on the dock to finish paperwork associated with the inspections. I always thought it strange that the dock only had minor damage but the house was totally destroyed!
Tomorrow will be another whirl-wind of a day. Vickie scheduled an insurance loss for me at 11am and after putting the route together, I thought I would try to get all the other work done first and make the insurance loss inspection my last stop for the day. I will be leaving early in hope of finishing all the mortgage inspections before the insurance loss inspection at 11am.
If you’ve visited www.TheRepReport.com in the last couple of days you will see that I have taken the site down temporarily. Something got gummed up and the site is not displaying properly so it is down for repairs. I hope to get it going as soon as I have the time to work on it.
I’ll give you a report tomorrow on how well things go. (2 •75)+(28•6.50)+(1•35)
