Neck Bones and Pig’s Feet

July 25th, 2007 → 9:37 pm @

I passed by two wrecks this morning and I was only gone two hours. While I was passing by the second wreck, slowly in the turn lane, the big green Cadillac was so busy announcing his right of way with his horn that he did not see the cars coming around the wreck on the other side. Bam!!! Three wrecks! (32•10.00)

For some reason our mortgage inspection work came in a little late this month. Several hundred in the last couple of days. Thats why I had to do mortgage inspections today instead of the commercial inspections. I was given the honor of completing the seventy-two Rush inspections that were in the downloads.

My daughter says I always get to see the exciting stuff. On my second route of the day I pulled into one of my inspection addresses and saw a couple of sheriff’s deputies assisting a couple of guys with their handcuffs. It appeared that one of the guys was having a hard time adjusting to having his hands cuffed behind his back. Maybe he’ll get the kinks worked out on his way downtown. Don’t want to know – didn’t ask! (40•10.00)

A big thanks to whomever sent the books that were on my wish list. As usual, I will try to share the knowledge. Thanks!

I’ve got to get back to the commercial inspections tomorrow. I still have about a dozen to do around town before I get on the road to do the others. So, I gotta go. There’s still work to do before bedtime.

Forty-Five to Sixty-Four

July 24th, 2007 → 8:30 pm @

The company we are doing the commercial inspections for added  more locations today. Our original forty-five jumped to sixty-four! Not only that, they offered to extend the deadline an additional week if we would be willing to do even more. It’s going to be a good month.  August too!

I’m dragging! I actually had enough daylight left to do a fifth commercial inspection but with the heat and my natural tendency towards laziness, I called it quits after four locations. Thats like eighty to one hundred mortgage inspections!

If you’ve had the chance to check out any of the companies I mentioned yesterday, I would like to hear about it. I’m going to go for now – lot’s of pictures to upload and another big day tomorrow.

Just because you’re not paranoid does not mean they’re not after you.

Commercial Inspections

July 23rd, 2007 → 10:26 pm @

I think I could easily become addicted to commercial inspections. With the help of some other field reps and a little networking, they have put me onto some pretty good commercial jobs. I have been extremely busy since Thursday of last week doing my regular mortgage inspections and adding in the new commercial inspections.

I started out doing only one commercial inspection, then two the next day, and now I’m doing three a day along with the mortgage inspections which are dropping off here at the end of the month. I’ve had some very long days but as the mortgage inspection work falls off, I can actually add commercial inspections and not be too overworked.

If you have been following this blog for a while, you know a ball park figure of my rates for mortgage inspections in the various areas I work. To give you an idea of the difference in income while doing commercial inspections, I can tell you each of these commercial inspections is equivalent to about twenty to twenty-five mortgage inspections. So doing three is like doing sixty to seventy five mortgage inspections and my car sets in the parking lot of the business I am inspecting! Less gas and less wear and tear!
Remember! I got this work by talking to other reps so make sure you stay in touch with other reps you meet in Yahoo Groups or at TheRepReport.

You know about my bots running around the internet. When I checked with the bots this morning, they had brought in some pretty good info on more companies to check out. Since I am not going to have a whole lot of free time for a while, I’m going to list a few of the companies here. Go ahead and check them out. I do not have the time right now. I am not endorsing these companies! It’s just a short list of possibilities. Do with it as you like.
