Terry A few words to let you know how much I appreciate the book. It has been a very big help to me. Without it I don’t think I would have gotten very far.

September 2007 I didn’t know what field inspections were, had never heard of it. After looking on the Internet for a business that would be quick an easy to get started I saw some adds for field inspections. I started inquiring about it and found the ad for your book. I also saw other ads, and checked them all out, and decided to order yours.

It took longer to get started than I thought it would, it wasn’t quick and easy, without the book I guess I would still be trying to get going. The book is very informative with plenty of contacts to email a resume to.

The book explained the business in fine detail. It gives you what you need to know to get going, I refer back to the book quite often.

I have been running assignments since Jan. 5/08 and have been staying somewhat busy. I have 13 companies I am signed up with, they don’t all send work, but the companies who are sending work are good ones so far. I just wanted to THANK YOU for a great book and also I have called you several times and you have helped out quite a bit on the phone, I do appreciate that also.

Keep up the good work. Hope to meet you some day. Here are the names we discussed on the phone, some companies I have found since I got the book.

It’s been almost two weeks since your last post…….you still aliveand kicking or are you taking time off with family for the holidays???

Its not just your business that stinks so does mine. I had to come to
the unfortunate decision to lay off an employee right after Turkey Day.
What a miserable decision that was. I do believe that having a double
root canal with out the benefit of drugs would be easier than ever doing
that again.

Funny thing even from the signing business we get the same thing … ”
No business is just slow” funny stuff now they are even as bold to
follow that statement up with “Oh and by the way we have to lower your
fee by 10-25.00 per assignment either you can accept it or be put at the
bottom of the list for signing appointments”

We haven’t done a great deal of inspections either just a few not
certainly enough to actually state we are in that business. However
still enjoy reading your website for sure. Anyway just checking to see
if you are still out there… miss your cynicism…. :-)

My business stinks too but we still gross six figures a year also…….

I have purchased your manual this past week and I am overwhelmed by the mass of information. You have done a great job. Thank you. I have broken it up into sections and started to contact companies for work in the Rochester New York area. What everyone must remember is that information has to be worked, understood, and contacts made. I had my own business of over half million dollars in sales – until a sudden hurricane destroyed it. Now the crying is over and a new journey begun. I will diligently study each part of the manual and will succeed. And then, when I want to move south for some warm ocean breezes, I will be able to continue doing this work. Thank you for the value you have given us. It is a great “seed”. Having good soil up here – it will grow well.

Good afternoon Mr. Platt
I want to personally thank you for taking time to write this book, it has helped a lot.
I have been in the construction trade and real estate end for many years, and finally recently opened up my own company with my siblings in the Preservation Services.
For the past month I have been applying to major sources including some in your own book, some have replied quickly as to not a current need, and others are still reviewing our application.
With the market the way it is, we should be able to get on somewhere soon.
Again, thank you for your insight, I’ll keep you informed when we get on board!
After I sent you the last email, I received an email from one of the Vendors in your book, approving us for work, that was nice. I’ll let you know how things turn out.

Wow! You wrote my story before it all occurred! LOL! It is all
unfolding as we speak. I went from just being a home inspector, to an
insurance inspector. Then I experienced the Mortgage Drive by and here
I am. Better yet, my spouse is on board too and she does a lot of this
stuff better then me. Lol! Now I have people knocking on my door for
work because we took it all away from them because of our efficiency,
work ethic, and more important our reports and photos are thorough. I
refuse to stoop to lower fees as well and they still are knocking on my
door.Wow! I need to read more.I am glued till it is done.Thank you so much.
