You’ll start with the first 6 lessons of the actual course at no cost, so you can see the training for yourself before deciding whether you want to continue.
After those six lessons, you’ll have the option to continue through the full course, final exam, and earn your Certified Mortgage Field Services Inspector certificate.
We continue adding field service companies that accept independent contractor applications. Some companies work with new inspectors, while others may prefer prior experience, specific coverage areas, background checks, insurance, or additional qualifications.

Most mortgage field service companies require inspectors to complete a specialized industry background check before assigning inspection work.
ShieldHub normally starts at $65, but the link below provides the MFS discounted price of $55 for those who have successfully completed the free training course.
New York background checks cost more because of New York-specific requirements. New York applicants must select the New York option on the ShieldHub checkout page, and the MFS link still provides a small discount.
