Setting Your Column Preferences in InspectorADE

InspectorADE’s default layout includes unnecessary columns that can make it harder to understand your workload. Adjusting the columns will make your inspections easier to manage and keep the most important information visible.
This setup only needs to be done once.
How to Access Column Preferences
-
Log in to the InspectorADE website.
-
Click on the “Column Preferences” button at the top of your inspection list.
-
A settings window will appear showing all available columns and options.
Recommended Settings

• Change “Default Sort” to: Due
This ensures your inspections always appear with the soonest due dates at the top.
This prevents late inspections and missed deadlines.
• Hide unnecessary columns
Uncheck columns that you do not need daily—this reduces clutter and improves clarity.
• Keep only the most important columns visible
Suggested columns to keep:
-
Work Order Number
-
Address
-
Client
-
Work Type / Code
-
Assigned Date
-
Due Date
-
Window Start Date
-
ECD
-
Status
These columns give you everything you need to determine what must be done first and what requires immediate attention.
Why “Due” Should Always Be Your Default Sort
Choosing “Due” as your default sort:
-
Shows overdue items immediately
-
Keeps high-priority work at the top
-
Prevents missed deadlines
-
Makes follow-up inspections easier to track
-
Ensures inspections are completed in the correct order
Without this adjustment, you may see old or irrelevant inspections first, leading to confusion and potential chargebacks.
Save Your Settings
Once you finish adjusting the column layout:

-
Your preferences will apply every time you log in
-
Your dashboard will now be cleaner, simpler, and easier to manage
